RR:Good morning, everyone.  Let’s stand together and have a word of prayer before we start.  Father, we welcome You this morning by the power of Your Holy Spirit into this session, especially as we talk about the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Thank You, Father, for the Spirit alive in us, for on the day we gave our hearts to You, the Holy Spirit came in to bear witness that we are Christians.  We thank You for it, Lord, this morning.  Thank You for an anointing to teach, for an anointing to hear.

Let there be more than just the academic impartation, but let there be an impartation of the Spirit.  In Jesus’ name, and everybody said amen.

Somebody who injured your right hip is getting healed right now.  Whoever that person is who injured your right hip, if you’ll stand up and start moving your hip, you’re going to find the pain is gone.  You fell and injured your hip.

Thank you all for muting your cell phones.  I’ll do the same thing, if I can see it.

Okay, “The Baptism of the Holy Spirit.”  The Bible makes it clear that God created man with the ability to talk to Him.  When Adam was in the Garden of Eden, the Bible says that he walked and talked with God.

Adam had a communication system which was broken when he and Eve got into sin and when the fall of man occurred.  That communication system, that language that they had with one another to speak to each other was broken.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the reuniting—you need to write this down.  This is good stuff, also could be on a test, couldn’t it, Dr. Hulsmer, could be right there, could be right on a quiz—it is the reuniting, it is the rejoining of that original language spoken between God and man.  But that language was broken when man broke the contract and when man died spiritually.

And I said, “I can’t do this!”  And He said, “This is not about your opinion.  This is about your assignment.”  And I just said, “I repent.”

And I began to cry and say, “God, if I stand here until the day I die, I will weep until you lift this off of me, because it was my assignment.”

And He said this: “The only peace that Jeremiah had was in his obedience to God and to delivering God’s message.”

The only peace I have is when I do what God’s told me to do.  There’s no escape for me.  When we read in Ezekiel about?  LR: …  My son died almost 20 years ago. I’ve never been back to his grave, except one time I drove in the funeral with a young man that God told me to take him there.  And I have never been back to my father’s grave.  My father died when he was in his early 40s, 43, and I was 12 years old; I’ve never been back.  I’ve no intention of going back.  And unless the Lord speaks to me, I’m not going back to my son’s grave.

I don’t do that.  I don’t seek the living among the dead. Let the dead bury the dead and get on with the business of living, this is what God said.  But?

We were in Newport Beach, California, on New Year’s Day, several years ago.  And the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Go to Katherine Kuhlman’s grave.”  I’m like, “Yeah, You and who else?”  And about the time I thought I was demon possessed, I saidto my husband, “I can’t get away from this.”  And that weeping came on me.  And I said, “You’re going to think I’m crazy, but we’re supposed to get all of our kids together and get in our car and drive to Katherine Kuhlman’s grave.”

Jump to the 21st verse:  “That they all may be one, as, Father, You are in me, and I am in You, that they all may be one in us, that the world may believe that You have sent me.”

Now, He said, I just pray for that particular group, and now I’m sending that group to the world.

Number 22, and don’t miss this.  When I read this, I thought this is not Scripture.  But it is.  Then I thought this is not possible.  But it is.  Then I thought this is not godly.  But it is.

“And the glory which you gave me, I’ve given them.”  Hold on right there.  That word means dignity, honor, all the power that has been given to Christ, is not given to us.  “And the glory which You gave Me, I have now given them, that they may be one, as we are one, that we all may be one in Him.  I am in them, they are in Me, and that they may be made perfect in one.”

We say there’s no perfect people – we can be perfect in Christ.  I thought that was heresy, but I’m reading it out of the Bible.  “And that the world will know that You sent Me, and You’ve loved them equal to how You have loved Me.”

Now, how many of you saw The Passion?  When you think about what you’ve done, good, bad, and ugly, and you think about what He did, you explain to me how can God love us with the identical measure that He loved Jesus?  That’s the toughest question of the entire day.

How, with my imperfections, can God look me in the face and say He loves me equal to His beloved Son that went on the Cross and took what He took on His back?  But He did.

In the 26th verse, it says, “I have declared?”  There’s one Scripture that says, “Verily, verily,? and one that says that God swore before Himself because there’s no higher power on the face of the earth by which He can swear before.  Verily, verily means I assure you, I give you my certainty based on myself.

“I have declared unto them thy name, and I will declare it, that the love with Me, that You have loved Me, may be in them because I am in them.”

That was the hardest assignment I think I’ve ever had in my life.  The only way you can help those kids get over those labels is to be the message.  Don’t shove a message down someone’s throat.  You be the message.

If you look at “sufficient water for processing, poultry by-products, meat by-products, beef, fish, wheat, gluten, corn, corn gluten, corn meal, ground wheat, citrus pectin,? doesn’t that all sound good?  “Calcium chloride, (long list of chemical names)? vitamins A, E, vitamin supplements, calcium, garlic powder, biotin, B-1,?” doesn’t that sound good? So what would you guess that to be?  That, my friend, would be dog food.

But if you asked for this: “Sugar, water, cornstarch, corn syrup, beef fat, whey, butter, sorbic acid, blue lake 1, yellow lake 5?(several other dyes).  Do you know what that is?  That, my friend, would be my own personal favorite – Hostess Snowballs. But did you notice in these white Snowballs there wasn’t a drop of anything white in what I read?

Never judge the proverbial book by its cover. What we need to learn to do is not take some label and look at that as our source of information.  We need to open up and dig deep and go inside.  And what I want you to do today is to be willing to open up and to dig deep and to go inside.  And the toughest person I’m going to ask you to go inside is yourself.

Because if we can ever dig deep enough inside of ourself, then God can touch us.

How many of you need 20 bucks today?  Is there somebody in the audience that’s under 18?  I need a kid.  You need 20 bucks? Sure?  Come help me a minute.  You’re slow, but you’re worth waiting on.

God is watching me.  He’s watching the seed that I’m sowing into El Salvador.  And He will use that seed for good, and He will multiply it back to me.

Paul said, “Not that I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”  Do you have an account with God?  If you’re a seed sower, you have an account with God.  But if you are not a seed sower, you don’t have an account with Him.

They had an account with God because Paul said they had given again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.  Over and over and over and over.  They had an account with God.

Do you have an account with God?  If you do not have an account with God, it’s because you are not a seed sower.  They had an account with God.  Paul said, “I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”  He could not have said that if they had not had an account with God.

“Not that I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”  He said, “But I have all.  I have received from you those things which you sent.”  Then he described their giving.  He said, “Your giving has an odor of a sweet smell.”  A sweet smell.

Does somebody have some money on the front row?  A dollar bill?  Can I borrow it for just a moment?  Thank you, my brother.  It’s a dollar bill.  (Sniffs)  That stinks!  It stinks!  Well, of course it stinks, because Paul called money filthy lucre.

Wait a minute.  Don’t misinterpret the Bible.  He was speaking of the bad way in which some people use their money.  Money is neither good nor bad.  Money follows you.  If you do good with it, it’s good money.  If you do bad with it, it’s bad money.  That is why he could call money from one group filthy lucre and to another group he could say it had a sweet smell.

Richard Roberts – Can I have that one more time?  Just stand there a little bit, my brother.  (Sniffs)  Pastor.  My brother, please take this back.  It stinks!  But Paul said their money had a sweet smell.  When you sow unto the Lord, your giving has a sweet smell.  That’s the first thing he said.

Now you know it’s not magic because I didn’t do anything.  All I did was act out the Bible.  I just prayed and believed.  You say, “Well, I can’t do that.”  Well, you can’t because you decided you can’t.  It’s time to change your mind and say, “I can,” because He’s called you to a healing ministry.

Can you imagine the church today worldwide being in the healing ministry?  Wow!  We’d empty the hospitals.  We’d empty the clinics, and people would be flocking to us to receive the prayer of faith.  Well, I cannot think of a better place for it to start than right here in this church in El Salvador.  Hallelujah!

Now another method is the gifts of the Spirit.  The gifts of healing flowed through my father, and God used his hand.  With me, it is usually the word of knowledge.  And God will give me a word, and I will see something in my spirit.  And then I’ll say it.

Now that happened a moment ago.  When I was praying for you with your hands out, I heard God say, “I’m healing a cataract.”  Did you hear me say that?  Did you hear me say cataract?  Did you hear me say it?  And I got the sense that it was somebody over here, and your eye was cloudy.  And the cataract had blocked off your vision.  But when I gave that word, the cloudiness left.

Is it you?  Did you have a cataract?  Can you tell that it’s gone?  The cloudiness is gone?  Is the cloudiness gone?  Is the cloudiness gone?  Is the cloudiness gone?

Richard Roberts – Now sometimes when I give a word of knowledge, it’s seemingly for one person, but others will respond.  I gave one word of knowledge about a cataract, and four people got healed.

Dr. Coto from here in El Salvador has organized this medical effort.  Would you stand please?  Give him a God bless you.  Dr. Powell, would you come forward please.  Brenda, would you come forward please.  I want you to meet one of the doctors and one of the nurses.  They have been in medical clinics throughout San Salvador this week.  And I want them to give an expression of what they have seen and what they have felt.  Dr. Powell, would you come and would you share from your heart for a moment?  And then Brenda will follow.

DR. POWELL: Thank you, Dr. Roberts.  My prayer for you tonight that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.  My name is Dr. Clay Powell, and I’m a graduate of Oral Roberts University and also of the Oral Roberts School of Medicine.  And I have been raised up to take the healing power of God into every man’s world.

Someone asked me earlier this week what were my expectations.  I said that I would be very busy as a medical doctor.  In these last three days, the medical team has seen well over 300 patients every day.  And we’ve been able to help people through the wonderful gift of medicine.

Richard Roberts – I also knew that I would see a fresh revelation of God’s love this week.  God sent me all the way to El Salvador so that one of your pastors could pray for me that God’s power in my life would be increased.  I was so blessed.  It brought tears to my eyes.

These doctors and nurses are donating their time, and we have brought thousands of dollars worth of medicines.  I would like all of the medical team to stand, please.  Give them a God bless you tonight.  Dr. Coto(sp) is a local physician, and he is responsible for this team.  Dr. Coto, give them a word about what’s been happening.  (DR. COTO IN SPANISH)  Thank you, Dr. Coto.

My daughter Jordan is with me, and she has had a vision for feeding hungry children.  And she began an organization called Hunger Needs a Voice.  And she had a dream in her heart to bring 500,000 meals to hungry children.  And that dream has become a reality.  We brought 500,000 heals to hungry children.  I want my daughter Jordan to come, bring you a word of greeting.

JORDAN: Hello, again, everyone.  It’s wonderful to see you all here tonight.  I’m so glad we’ve had the opportunity to be here so far.  We’ve been here for about a week, and to get to start the crusade tonight is so exciting.

The medical team has given out so many meals the past two days.  They’ve run out at the end of the day.  It’s just incredible to have the opportunity to be here.  The medical team has done such an incredible job.  I hope that we can see you all again tomorrow night.  And bring your friends.  Bring your family.  Thank you all very much.

RR: I saw a vision of this service.  I saw myself preaching.  I saw myself praying for the sick, and I saw God healing sickness and disease.  I saw it in a vision.  I saw it happening tonight.  Before I came, I saw it.  I saw sickness and disease begin to go.  I saw people coming to this platform and giving testimony of God’s healing power.  I saw it.  I visualized it, and God showed it to me.  And that’s what God is going to do tonight.

Richard Roberts – Lift your hands unto the Lord.  Heavenly Father, it is not by might, nor by power, but it is by Your Spirit that we are here.  It’s not me, nor anyone that I have brought with me, but it is the power of God.

Why?  Because You are most high.  You are the possessor of heaven and earth, and You’re the one who delivers me from all of my enemies.  That’s what Abraham learned, that God was most high, the possessor of heaven and earth and the one who delivers him from all of his enemies.

And when he understood who God was, he understood who he was.  And when he understood who God was and when he understood who he was, he set forth the tithing and offering principles.  That’s in the book of Genesis.

And what we did today we did because of what Abraham taught us.  He gave tithe of all.  And God blessed him and God prospered him.  And I can see Abraham today.  I can picture him in my mind.  Close your eyes for a minute.  Close your eyes.  Can you see Him?  Can you see Abraham?  Can you see him standing before Melchizedek, the priest of Salem?  And he’s learned that God is most high, and He’s the possessor of heaven and earth and the one who delivers him from all of his enemies.

Can you see him as he puts his offering in his hand?  It represents him.  It’s a tithe, a tenth of all.  And as he puts it in Melchizedek’s hand, he’s saying what I said this morning, “I’m sowing this unto God’s servant, but really I’m giving it unto God.  Now, God, You use this for Your glory.  I release my faith, and I believe this gift will be multiplied back to me good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”

You can open your eyes.  I do that every time I give.  That’s part of my miracle.

Richard Roberts – Jesus said, “Before now you’ve asked nothing in my name.  Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

Alleluia!  I love to sing unto the Lord.  John, chapter 16, verse 24, “Hitherto,” or before now, “have you asked nothing in my name.  Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

Imagine the disciples gathered around Jesus on the last night of His earthly life.  He had been talking to them about the crucifixion.  He had been talking to them about His resurrection from the dead.  He had been giving them the word of the Lord about what was coming in the future.

They had been with Him for three and a half years.  That time on earth was coming to an end.  He had tried to prepare them, but it was hard.  They thought He had come to establish an earthly kingdom, but, no, He had come to establish a heavenly kingdom.

He said, “I must go away.”  He said, “It’s better for you that I go away.”  But He said, “If I go away, I will send you another Comforter, the Holy Spirit.  And He will not just be with you; He will be in you.”

But they still didn’t understand.  He said, “Up until this point you’ve asked nothing in my name.”  Now they had heard Him ask.  They had seen Him cry out, “Abba, Father.”  They’d seen many great miracles, but they had not done the asking.  They had seen Jesus do the asking.

Now on the last night of His earthly life, He said to them, “Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

You see, He was about to go to the cross.  In only a matter of hours, His hands and feet would be pierced.  And they would hang Him high and stretch Him wide.  And they thought they were killing a man.  They didn’t realize that He was taking on the sins of the world.

They didn’t understand that He would rise from the dead.  They didn’t understand that that was part of God’s plan.  They didn’t understand that He was not born to live; He was born to die.  But not just born to die, born to die so that you and I might have life.  And they didn’t understand.

Richard Roberts - And so He said, “You’ve seen Me ask, but now I want you to ask.  But ask in My name, for My name is higher than any name named in heaven and earth.”
