No, the news doesn’t even know about it in the United States. Over 150 people were killed in the plane crash. And Victor was on that plane. He was doing the Lord’s work. The only thing she could say to me on the phone was, “Terry, he was doing the Lord’s work.” And when she said that to me, something just hit me in my heart because I knew what he was doing, what part of the Lord’s work he was doing. And he was working for us, working with us and getting literature, getting material to the underground church.
And I would really encourage the television program audience to pray for Anna today. She’s bereaved. I know the hurt. I know what that grief can do and I know that God can minister to her. And I would encourage people across the nation just to remember Anna. That’s all the name you need. The Lord will know who she is. That’s not her real name but the Lord understands and knows who she is. I’d like us to believe God for her to really touch her and to minister comfort to her and to the underground church.
So many of those people are going through agony and pain like you and I don’t know in this country. But God is doing something there too. There are over a million charismatics, over a million Pentecostals, people who pray in other tongues and worship God in that element and in that dimension who are moving in miracles.
And God’s not done with the Soviet Union. God’s doing something there. He’s going to be doing a lot more in the days that lie ahead. I believe there’s a spiritual revolution coming to the USSR. We’re going to see God break that country wide open with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Terry, could we just join hands right now, everybody, and, Terry, I feel led to just ask you to pray for Anna. I know this is not her name, but you must use another name to protect her identity at this time. But I just feel led to ask you if you’d pray, and will you pray along for Anna as Terry prays and also for the team that’s there right now in Russia.
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray for the many people on this television program who are suffering bereavement and they understand what it’s like to lose a loved one. They’re hurt. And I pray You’ll minister to them right now and You will just calm and soothe the hurt of that pained heart.
But I pray primarily right now for Anna, for all her friends and loved ones in the Soviet Union. I pray for the ministry of the Holy Spirit. You said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” And I pray that for Anna right now.
I pray, Holy Spirit, that You will apply those words to her heart and You will comfort her, You will bring peace to her even as You’re bringing peace to the many who are listening to us this morning on this program. You’re calming the heart, You’re bringing peace to the troubled waters that the enemy would produce turmoil in. And, Father, we believe You for this and we thank You for it, in Jesus’ precious name, amen.
