There are some people who believe in angels, and some people who believe that angels don’t exist. Well, I’d like to settle the argument right now: angels are real. Whether we believe it or not is totally immaterial. Angels exist—the Bible says so. Hebrews 1:13,14 says, But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
This is good news! Not only do angels exist, but they are here to minister for us. There is angelic power available to help you and me!
My father, Oral Roberts, tells the story of being in the hospital for nasal surgery some years ago. He was in his room recovering when suddenly an angel walked in. My father told me, “I’d never seen an angel before, even though I had read about them. He was eight or nine feet tall and he spoke to me saying, ‘Dispatch me. Send me on a heavenly errand.’” That’s scriptural, because Hebrews says they are to be sent forth to minister for us. At the time my father was involved in a ministry project, so he spoke to the angel concerning that project, and just as suddenly as the angel disappeared, that project was fulfilled.
Now I have never seen an angel with my physical eyes, but I have felt them. There have been times when I have dispatched angels to help me according to the Word of God, and times when I have felt angel’s wings around me, protecting me. Psalm 34:7 NKJV says, The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Angels are real and they are standing by, waiting for you to dispatch them according to God’s Word.
