A Heart for the Nations

For almost 28 years, I have been more at home preaching the Gospel and praying for the sick—no matter where that takes me—than anywhere else on earth.

My heart has always been in evangelism and winning the lost to Christ. And no matter where we go, my greatest desire is to see people healed by the power of God in every area of their lives.

But recently, God has put a new and burning urgency in my heart to reach more people with His Gospel than I ever have had before. And in the last two years, I have had the privilege of ministering in 10 differ­ent nations of the earth and ministering in churches, crusades, and television as much as humanly possible. I believe the time before Jesus returns to the earth is growing short, and I want to do all I can do to make sure as many people as possible come to know His saving, healing, delivering power.

When we were in Costa Rica several months ago, I was given the opportunity to hold a two-hour heal­ing service on Enlace satellite and TV network. En­lace broadcasts to over 100 nations throughout the Americas and into Europe and North Africa. In that two hours, 10,000 people called or e-mailed their prayer requests. And after it was over, Enlace heard from more than 3,000 people who had either been healed as I prayed or who had accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

It seems that all over the earth people are hungry for God in a way I have never seen before.

Obeying the Call

During a recent trip to Scotland, England, France, and West Africa, I preached over 10 times in 14 days and witnessed so many salvations and miracles. In Scotland we held healing rallies in the Aberdeen Mu­sic Hall, and I remember talking to a young man that we learned had had a tumor behind his left ear for the last seven years.

During the service, God gave me a word of knowl­edge that a tumor was dissolving. A young man came up on the platform in complete astonishment, and was very open in sharing that he’d been skepti­cal in the past about any claims he’d heard of some­one being healed. “I’m a bit wary of things like this,” he told me. But when I gave that word from the Lord about a tumor dissolving, he said he reached up behind his ear and found that the tumor was com­pletely gone!

In another service during our trip, a young girl who had been in a wheelchair came out of that wheelchair by the power of God. Later, we saw her pushing her own wheelchair out of the building.

In one of the services in a church in Paris, there was a woman from Cameroon who had a growth in her nose that caused her terrible pain. Not only did the growth disappear, but the pain disappeared too. She was completely healed by the power of God!

Thirty Lame People Healed In One Night!

I’ll never forget what a miraculous time we had in the tiny West African nation of Niger in 2006, where less than 1% of the population was Christian when we arrived. The people had such a strong de­sire for miracles that in one night alone, thirty lame people rose up and walked. Another night, twelve blind people testified of being healed. And night af­ter night, great crowds of people raised their hands as I gave the invitation to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
